And then that became Ichi, and then became Ichi, and that became Ichi the Killer Cat, which is a reference to an old Japanese movie. Basically, it's a name in progress, is what it is. So cute. I remember people were like, oh, yeah, they're great pets. They make milk, and they do this, and that. And I go, okay, let's be real here. Are you in Dallas really milking a goat? You're not.

There are droves of kids meeting up in plazas, different places. And they literally are aura-farming battles. They used to dance battle back in the 90s.
[00:05:22] But it's like aura-farming battles in the middle of plazas and everything. All the young kids are doing it. I want to know what the battle looks like, though. I have to look this up. It's like voguing. Look it up. Yes, that's exactly what I wanted it to be. Perfect. It could be anything. Perfect. Oh, my God. It's aura-farming. It's like a JoJo episode in real life. It is like a JoJo episode. They're like, is this JoJo reference? They're like, no, JoJo references us. Oh, my God. It's like you're memeing in real life, almost. [00:06:49] Elia, tell us about your Kickstarter. This is Jeff the Turtle! He's my little guy. He's Jeff the Turtle! I know, look at him. This is Jeff. He's a turtle that I created when I was 13 years old. And then 21 years later, I decided to give him a story through a charity stream. And that story came to life in a comic. And now it's getting printed because we got funded. Heck yeah! Cute little story about little guys that go on an adventure. The big forest, aka the backyard.
[00:07:19] And try to see what a mysterious shadow is casting all over the forest. It's super silly, super cute. And I'm so excited it's getting made. I love that it's funded, but it's still funding. So people can still back it right now. It is. We smash through two stretch goals. So we get extra pages. So good, so good. Submit art and have it featured in the book. We get little Jeff plush keychains. And then we have one more stretch goal to get custom Jeff 20 dice for my backers. Ooh. Nice.
[00:07:48] We're so close to that. We're like 150 away from that one currently. Oh my God. It's unreal. Make it happen. It's actually unreal. Make this happen. Make this happen, Primoz. By the time this airs, we're going to be needing the next stretch goal after that. I know. And I need ideas because I'm out. I planned for 2,500 to be the insane wish that I didn't think I was even going to get close to. Can I just say congratulations? You'd be comfortable sharing where you're at right now. I have so many people that came through and were like, yo, we love what you do. We're going to just share it and uplift.
[00:08:49] And it's crazy. It's crazy. And community is just so powerful. And I'm grateful. And I'm never going to stop saying thank you to God. No, definitely. Community, community, community, primos. We're talking about this. No matter where you're from, we're all primos. We all need to support each other, apoyar each other. And Kevin, tell us a little bit about your Kickstarter. You're in the middle of it. You just funded successfully. Yeah. Funded successfully. What can you share about the process right now? Well, it got delayed, but it got delayed for a good reason, I guess.
[00:09:18] And that is all these artists that I've been saying through the entire process need to be getting more work are getting more work. So, I mean, it's a good reason to get delayed, but it's still sad. I wanted to get it at my original goal. I put in there November, but I really wanted it out before, you know, the Hispanic Heritage Month. And then I'm like, okay, well, November is possible. But now it's like it's probably going to be the beginning of next year. But I'm still hoping we can put it together before this year ends.
[00:09:43] Look, I think that people that are supporting the work, and as long as you're public about it, they know that good work takes time. I think that especially when you're supporting an indie creator. Exactly. The story is so good. I'm really excited to read their story. Like when you posted your video, like just telling me about the characters, I'm like, I want it. I want it. I want it. I want it. I want it. You know, Miguel's doing the main art. That's the main story.
[00:10:13] And he's also doing a project, a couple of projects, actually. And again, they're all paying really well. So I'm like, yes, do them. I understand. And then I got, by the way, I realized while counting down, I got a Miguel, a Mickey, and another Mickey, but spelled differently, all in the same group. But anyway, so Miguel Acedelio, he is doing the main art. Mickey Ramirez is doing the Night Axe solo story. And he's also working on a follow-up to his debut graphic novel, Gargoyle. Yeah.
[00:10:41] And then James Figueiredo, he's doing the Golden Girls solo story. And he has just been knocking it out of the park. He's doing a lot of stuff locally because he does a lot of stuff to support like the LGBT community in Brazil. So he's got like a werewolf book coming out with some friends and some other things that he's working on. And at times like this, we need to support all of these communities. So I really love that he does that. Can we talk about that? I think that we know what will take a little, not a serious note, but I want to talk about that.
[00:11:08] I think that it's so important because I feel, and please correct me, Primos, right? It's just the three of us here, right? I correct you. And to say that you are correct, probably. And interrupting me as you usually are and doing currently. He has a kitten. That's true. You have the kitten. You have cachet. Okay. Your carte blanche. What I'm saying is that I feel like there has been a, a, a volume has been turned down on the support from the community.
[00:11:38] Not to say that the, let me reframe and say the Primos, the community, the Primos that are like the consumer has been good to us. They've been involved. They've been supporting. They've been doing what they can, but within our own creative bubble, I think that we are lacking that noise that we had a few years back where everybody was uplifting. Like all of it is it, all boats rise when the water rises, right? Like that whole saying, like, I think that we need to start pushing ourselves a little more.
[00:12:06] Look at ourselves and go, damn, am I doing, how hard is it for me to just press share? Or how hard is it for me to just post something or like something? Like, I get it. We, we burn time on the most innocuous things, but like, come on, like, come on, like, you can do this, please. What do you guys think? I think. Go ahead. Oh, okay. Yeah. Cause like the thing about community is it grows when we all hold hands and do it together.
[00:12:35] And if someone is skyrocketing their way to the top and kind of just like ignoring people on the way up, we're all still going to be at the bottom, not like able to uplift in the best way possible. And if we all grow exponentially quick together, we're all typing each other up, then the world on a bigger scope looks in and they're like, whoa, this community is so powerful. Let's, let's go be part of it.
[00:13:00] You know, there's, there's nothing that makes me want to join a group that is just constantly like typing each other up for the coolest thing ever. And as a Latina community, as creators, that's so cool. And it's so important, not just right now because like our culture is being attacked constantly in the political climate, but now we're dealing with AI in the mix as well. So it's just like, there's so many things that are against the community right now, especially
[00:13:29] the creative marginalized communities that the minute we see someone making something original by hand, God, I want to scream it from the room. Back them, back them, back them, back them, back them, back them. Even if like, it's like, I don't have money share, like comment engagement. Yeah. It doesn't cost you anything to share and just 100%. Exactly. People share, people share the dumbest things on Instagram, like the dumbest things on TikTok. You could share something good.
[00:13:58] You could share somebody's project. Yeah. So we're talking about the atmosphere right now. Like I, I see a lot of like black creators getting like hateful comments that, I mean, there's they were always there, right? They're always there, but like they're coming out of the woodwork and they're being emboldened by the political climate. And the groups that used to have the back of the smaller communities, those groups are now scared, scared of losing funding, scared of losing a poll, scared of the government.
[00:14:25] And, and so every time, like I have a lot of, you know, friends are our creators in the black community. I'm not going to get involved in the conversations, but I'm going to repost, repost, repost, repost, repost, repost. Good. Because it needs to be said. And then when it comes to like the Latino community, the people that have always supported us always support us. Right. But what we need is we need to get those voices out there and we need to be able to talk about what happens, you know?
[00:14:51] I told you guys a couple, a while back, I started researching depictions of Latin America in the, in the forties and fifties because it seemed weird to me as somebody who was very immersed in that, that people just were unaware of it. And I think that even applies to today where people just don't both in and out of the community. Don't look at how Latinos are being treated in pop culture. You know, they're, they're not getting shows. They're not main characters. And when they were before those have been kind of drowned out, you know what I mean?
[00:15:21] Yeah. Or stereotypes that were. Yeah. Again. Yeah. Can I say, Kevin, I think that you're, you're hitting it right on the head because we need to also show, Hey, it's successful. Ele Maria's teaser is successful because there's a community. Kevin Garcia's teaser is successful. The great John Avena is successful. The guys were writing a book from the Ramones for God's sakes. And is doing comics for charity to uplift communities that are in trouble right now. 100%.
[00:15:50] Using the platform for good. Like there's so many people doing this for good. We need to be louder to share it. We all need to be louder. That's exactly where it is. Yeah. We need to be louder. I agree with that wholeheartedly. And you know me, primos, I'm loud and I like to make noise. And we always talked about this on the show and this, this, this family, the primos here, like let's make noise. Let's, let's not assimilate. Let's not just get eaten up by whatever else is the trend or whatever.
[00:16:17] I mean, we joke around, we play around, but let's be real here. Like we need to be unapologetically ourselves. We need to be unapologetic Latino and we need to embrace it and just celebrate it whenever it does make a success. People love Guillermo del Toro. Like, well shit. Wow. Okay. But there's other directors too. Like, yeah, let's bring him up. So for sure. Although I want to, although I do want to respect people that are going to keep standing up against AI. Thank you again with those. For sure. Yes. For sure.
[00:16:47] I mean, AI was a whole thing for us last episode. If you didn't catch it, go check it out. We had a good conversation about it. It's never stopped being a whole thing for me. Yeah. I think I'm not more annoying about it. Yeah. Believe me. Yeah. You can ask anybody around me. I am constantly. Should we share what happened? Go. Oh, that. Oh, that. What? What do you call it? Were we deepfaked? Violated AI? Not deep. I would say violated is what it is.
[00:17:17] It's not violating. It's not deepfakes because they're not pretending to be us. Okay. And what seems to be a misguided attempt at showing that they are a fan, they have taken our images, fed them into a machine that does not deserve to have our images, and then made new things of just us saying, hey, look how great these things are that have the faces of my friends or my friends that people I would like skinned off of them and put onto these artificial things.
[00:17:47] It felt weird when I saw this, I got tagged in it, and then I was like, what the hell is this? I swear to you, I did like a double, triple take. Like, no way. None of us want to be involved with that. None of us want to be involved. Here's the thing. Someone told me about the conversation. I mentioned to a friend, he goes, well, you're on the internet. You put yourself out there. And I go, sure. I agree to put my face, my voice out here. Yeah, 100%. But not agree to take me and do some shit that I didn't agree to. Yeah. You know what I mean?
[00:18:16] We've agreed to let humans hear and see us. That is what we are here for. We have not agreed to let people reproduce this with undead machines. I don't know. It's just one thing that it's, oh, well, it's just an image. Yeah, but it's now been fed. We are in the system. Yeah, we're now in the system. What else is going to happen? And of course, we're always in the system. You know what's funny? I was talking to people about this today. It's like every day, well, not every day, every couple days, my iPhone says, hey, do you want to approve the term service? And I'm like, no.
[00:18:44] So, yeah, and it gets me to get a couple days later. Like, I'm not going to change my mind. But what gets me is apps. Adobe, because I teach with it and other websites are constantly popping up. Can we view other folders? Yeah, you need that for Adobe. I understand. Can we access nearby devices? No. Why would you need that? Like, if I'm going to hook up a Bluetooth thing, I will hook up a Bluetooth thing. You have to. If I'm going to plug it in, I'll plug it in. One of them told me, like, for example, I was doing some editing stuff on my phone because I was traveling. And he goes, okay, cool. You can use it. We need access to your call logs.
[00:19:14] Why do you need my call logs to edit a picture? That's where you find a new thing. In fact, right now, my partner was showing me because I have an iPhone SE. This is an over 10-year-old phone I've been using. I need to replace it. And she's like, hey, look, you've been wanting a folding phone. Look at the new iPhone that folds. And I said, yeah, I don't want that anymore. She's like, but you've been talking about this forever. I said, yeah. And if you told me a year ago, a folding phone two years ago, certainly. I, right now, I'm looking at dumb phones. Phones that do not talk to. And they literally Google that. Dumb phones.
[00:19:43] Like, it's a thing. Phones that do not talk to AI. Have you not noticed the trend of the kids now making their own, like. Yeah. Their own. They're in high school. So you've seen they make their own. They're retrofitting iPods to, like, bigger hard drives now. Well, especially because of the state law in Texas. Yes, they are doing that. I hate that law. I hate it so much. But point is. It caught me by surprise one day when I was just trying to log into Blue Sky. Sure you were. Yeah. You were logging into Blue Sky. No.
[00:20:12] I was going to Pornhub. And I got the website that said, naughty girl, you were in Texas. No. You know what's fucked up? And I say the word fucked up because I want you to understand how fucked up it is. I turned on Crunchyroll. And it goes, due to your state, you need to verify your age and identity before you watch Crunchyroll. Okay. You want to know what freaked me out? I went to my school district's website on a browser that I've never used before. And it popped up a little thing saying, will you give this website access to nearby devices? And I'm like, what?
[00:20:43] Like, it's not even. Why would a website. SkyNet is real. Okay. SkyNet is real. There's going to be a time traveling future robot coming back to kill AI and we'll be ready to help them. Okay. Did you hear the news today? Did you hear the news today? What happened today? Well, now what happened? Yet another high ranking designer, programmer, whatever you call the people who do those things with computers, quit Anthropic saying specific or was fired, I guess. But quit. Whatever.
[00:21:10] Saying specifically that what they are doing is dangerous and will lead to the end of humanity within 10 years. The that's, that's his exact phrasing. And the reason for it is you guys heard about the, the AIs that went rogue and ended up hacking other things when they were told to not do anything like that. He's saying literally these things are doing things that they're being told not to do and then telling humans they're not going to do it. And then talking to other AIs to do it. And it's like, it's funny because, you know, 10 years ago we were like, oh, how would we determine if these things are sentient or not? And I mean, that's not even the conversation anymore.
[00:21:40] Right now the conversation is just, what the hell are you doing? Why do you think you're going to make money off this? No one has made money off this. Well, I take it back. Nvidia has made money off this because they're selling the chips. No one outside of Nvidia has made money off this. People have made theoretical money off of it, but none of that theoretical money has been fulfilled. None of it. And all you are doing is digging a deeper and deeper hole, not just for you, but for the entire society. Creatives are being hit hard. But even people that are not creatives, people that are applying for jobs and are getting AI talking back to them.
[00:22:09] People that are getting AI filtering their resumes. People that are using AI to write their resumes. All of this is destroying our ability to function as a society. And the people at the top are just like, well, let's not regulate them. Let's, well, whatever happens, happens. You know what's crazy? Because they have power and money. Yeah. Sure. But if you have that anyway. Every dystopian future that we watch from Blade Runner to Ghost in the Shell is like fucking happening. You know what I mean? It's like, okay, cool.
[00:22:40] Except for the flying skateboard and stuff. I want flying skateboards. Come on. Dude, I'm like 40% to the guy in the chair right now because of fucking AI and society. I'm almost there. I'm like, Wally's the future, man. Our planes might be hurt. I'm like right there. Yeah. At least Wally's cute, so I'll give him that. It's okay. He can have the planet. As long as I can watch Hello Dolly as I die. Did you not see the robot Olympics that they were doing? Yeah. I was cracking my ass up because they were all like sparky. Listen, listen, it's hilarious that they were sparking, but the whole point of it is to show that they are closer and closer.

Every state should have them. We should be supporting them everywhere. Everybody freaks out about the big ones, right? San Diego, New York, even Chicago. Primos, where else? Okay, let's be real here for a second. Kevin, how hard is it to get tickets to San Diego Comic Con right now if you wanted them? Well, it depends.
[00:26:02] How hard is it to get a camel through the eye of a needle? There you go. That's fucking hard. Okay? But you have access to creators like Elia Maria Madrid, Kevin Garcia, you know, everybody from Peso Hero, everybody from Five Meats. I'm naming all the names I can think of. Mickey Ramirez, all these creatives. You know, Camelot's Comics. And Solo. Grimcore. Rafael. Bone. Everybody. Everyone from Baldo.
[00:26:29] Like, you guys need to understand that you have access to a free show to see your community members, your primos, your primas that are creating awesome content that you enjoy. Because guess what? Because you enjoy and support it, it gets made. It gets made because you want it. And there it is. You can go pick it up. Touch the item right there and have them sign it most of the time. You can become someone's biggest fan. You can commission art. You can become someone's biggest fan that no one's heard of.
[00:26:59] And then you get to tell the whole world about this person. You were there first. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know how many books I have in here from indie comic, you know, comic writers, artists that I love? And I go, hey, you got to check this out, but give it back. Because it's the only one I get. You can't find it. Like, all I buy is indie comics. If I wasn't holding this one, I would pick up several that are right there out of arm's reach. There's more stuff being made right now. You have to be loud, right?
[00:27:28] Like, these conventions are not going to stick around like any other item in the world, right? If there's no attention for it, if there's no people wanting to go, then they won't be around. Okay? Right. So let's support these things. It's like, they have different teachers every day. Yeah. I, I, like, there's somebody I know from California on the wall. I know. I got to literally find this out. But I just, I was like, hell yeah. Like, I have no idea who put that up there, but thank you for putting that up there. That made me feel so good.

[00:28:47] Back in, like, I want to say 1999, 98, the era of, like, Deep House and, like, backyard shows and ska music, like Spanish, Latino ska popping off in Southgate, California. Hold up, Latino ska? I have to go. Oh, you don't know Viernes? I've actually been listening to some lately and I've been enjoying it. This is the rabbit hole. Okay, look, marking in my mind. Go ahead. Look up Viernes 13 and then come back to me. Done.
[00:29:14] Point is, Latino ska bands that are playing in backyards, that are playing in, like, these little dive, like, it was a hamburger spot a day and they closed it early and they used the backyard of the hamburger stand to go play music. Like, we're talking these deep shows. So, off of Tweedy Boulevard and Long Beach Boulevard, who, if you know, you know, that's in Huntington Park, Southgate area, for dominant 99.97% Latino neighborhoods,
[00:29:40] a guy was in a mosh pit and he had the fucking El Muerto skull on the back of his, like, denim jacket. Hell yeah. And I was like, oh shit, you were in El Muerto. And he's like, oh yeah, I remember, like, there's a kinship there where you're like, oh shit, like, but. Exactly. I gotta find him who put that up there. Indie, indie, indie, indie, like, at the time, Javier was a very indie artist during that time. I mean. The movie had come out. He still has been a legend among indies, that's the thing. Yeah. So, for me to find somebody, oh shit, like, and we become homies, right? Because that's what this community is.
[00:30:10] It's the geekdom that brings us together, the community that holds us there, and our voices that will uplift everybody, right? Because I am sick and tired of people saying, oh man, we need support. Yes, but let's use the voice. Let's do it. Start it. Yeah. Start the call. Start the grito. Like. Start the grito, right? Like, Elia, you were saying, like, the work that goes behind these shows. I know you've been involved in a lot of them, and especially here in Dallas area.
[00:30:36] Like, please tell us just a little snippet of what kind of work goes behind it, and why people need to really appreciate and try to uplift these. God, just organization. Like, back when I was part of Texas, you know, Comic-Con, like, the level of organization to make sure things, like, schedules go on time, to make sure every artist gets featured equally. The meetings that were done so that we can get the favor returned by the venues so that things could still be free for the artists.
[00:31:06] The crossroads. There's so much that goes on behind the scenes to the buildup of, like, this is even before day of. Just make sure everything goes out without a hitch, gets promoted without it feeling like it's a burden. Like, there's just so many logistical things, so many spreadsheets, so many emails, so many just time. It's a lot of work. It's a lot of work. I think we need to crowdfund this stuff. It needs to be crowdfunded.
[00:31:35] Yeah, here's the thing. If the people just get together and scream about it, people are going to want to, like, sponsor and be like, yeah, I want to be part of the celebration. Let me celebrate with y'all by, you know, there's cross-type, there's cross-love, there's cross, I mean, there's money, too. Money is very important. No one likes to talk about it, but it's part of the process. But if we build community, community comes to us once we just continue the positive hype. It just builds and builds.

I love Magic the Gathering and other card games. But I have a show that you guys can check out if you're into Magic the Gathering, especially with an unapologetic Latino-like vibe. [00:37:05] Out the door, pouring out into the street of people wanting to go to this show. Not anything is, it's not just card games. It's everything you can talk about. People collecting things. So like pop figures, comic books, the geek, the geek fandom in Mexico, at least in Mexico City. I was in the Reforma, which is right in the middle of it. Super, super hungry for it. Like here, to give you a little bit of the insight here, the Marvel set that came out for
[00:37:33] Magic the Gathering and Spider-Man didn't do too well because people are kind of like, I don't want Spider-Man. I don't want Marvel. Oh, I want magic. Over there, it is like hot. People are buying it because it's comic book. It's movies. It's the culture. And people are all about it. Artists. It's the culture. 100%. Artists print. And I got an artist card. And they are like the sample, like the artist print signed by an artist. Talk to him. He's from Guadalajara, I believe.
[00:37:59] He's going to go to TJ next month to do an event with another store down there called Shining Secrets. Shout out to One Line Hand. But the point is that the community there has really embraced what we're doing. And not only that, it's not the first time. Remember, we've had features from Kevin and Elia and John on Mexican television. We most remember like the culture wants this stuff out there. So it was so good to be embraced by this.
[00:38:25] It felt like a homecoming because the community there has been very welcoming and wanting this. And I tell you that my first time in Ciudad de Mexico, I had a great experience. My wife wants to live out there. She's like, you know what? I had such a great time. I wanted to be out there. But I really want to say thank you to Yellow Rabbit and, of course, MTG Wolf and WolfCon and NecroTower. Those are the sponsors that had us out there who do appreciate that. But what I'm saying is La Comunidad Mexicana really showed me love.

That's Conan. And shiny. And shiny. But anyway, check this out. Check out what a prima out there gave me. I'm showing you because you mentioned it. So this is an example, okay? This is a goofy one, but I'll show you the other one too. This is from a group called Magic Con Enya.
[00:40:45] Magic Con Enya. They made their own copy tokens of themselves. And they basically had a promotion. When you found them at the convention, they gave you their token that you can collect. And so there's three of them, and you would use them in your games. And seeing it has them promoting their stuff, there's Magic Con Enya. Right? That's a fun card idea. So that's what I'm saying you need to do, young lady.
[00:41:10] But what I want to show you real fast is in Magic, there's something called, because the Hobbit is out, right? You guys know Hobbits and Lord of the Rings. Never heard of it. No. Yeah. It's a fandom. Up and coming fantasy novel. Up and coming fantasy novel. Must be too new for me. A lot of things with food, right? Something about food with them. I like food. They eat a lot. Right? So they have something called food tokens, because there are things that you make, or you can generate a food token to do something.
[00:41:38] And my friend, Juana, made a shiny Concha food token. That's what we need. My God. Oh my God. It's holographic. I would put that in a sleep. It's an actual... It's an actual... She took a Magic card, wiped, and created the token for this. And she was so kind to hand these out to the other people that are content creators from Magic the Gathering.
[00:42:07] Her name is Charmstar Juana. Charmstar Juana. She's a cosplayer. I've never met her, and I'm charmed already. I'm her biggest fan already. She's awesome. She does some amazing cosplay. She's a lot of fun. She's super kind. Very knowledgeable, too. Loves... We met at the Archaeological Museum in Mexico City. She talked about... She's so knowledgeable. She's a very proud magiquera, as they call themselves, because they play magic, and they're all about inclusion and fun. Mexico's so cool. Mexico's so cool.
[00:42:37] That was my experience, because... Elia, make tokens. People will buy them if they're cute. Oh, I'm so going to. Of, like, all my characters. If you literally go and just Google... Like, if you go to Magic and just type in tokens, you'll get every token that they've ever made. And there's everything from food, treasure. There's different tokens of whatever, and you can make them however you want. And people buy them by the bushels, because they want cute tokens. So, I'm just saying...
[00:43:05] You know, in my head, Ken, and Night Axe and Golden Girl will play Dungeons & Dragons. They need to play Magic as well. Oh, yeah. Magic the Gathering, guys. We need to get some character-branded tokens. Just to make it happen, Primos. But what have you guys been into recently? What I was into is Magic and Mexico City. What have you guys been watching, consuming here for the Primos? Maybe they want to jump on and join your fandom. Well, okay. Well, you know what? Well, no one's talking, so I'll talk. All right, so... Do it. Watching, consuming.
[00:43:35] You know, I just finished X-Men 97. Loved it. Finished the My Adventure of Superman, which is always great. Currently watching The Lanterns, which, you know, it's funny. When I was little, when I first started reading comics, I was like 9, 10 years old. My favorite superhero was Green Lantern. But I very quickly realized that it was not Hal Jordan I liked, but the concept of the best of every culture coming together to help everyone else out. That concept by itself was what I loved.
[00:44:03] And it turns out Hal Jordan's a horrible character. Like, just for a second, I'm going to run through this. Let's see. He knocked himself out with a bar soap once. He told everybody he had a threesome with other superheroes. Turns out he got drunk and passed out. He killed almost all of the Green Lanterns once because he was sad. He dated a 13-year-old and lived with her in an apartment for a while. These are... And you might say, oh, it's just one writer. No, no, no. This has been throughout his career.
[00:44:30] Once he had a bad dream and turned his best friend, who, by the way, he calls a racial slur, into a bird by accident for a day. Anyway, so when I found out they were making a show with Jon Stewart, the best human Green Lantern, and Hal, I was like, great. We don't need more Hal propaganda. We just don't. This show is not Hal propaganda, and I love it. It's exactly what I always wanted it to be. Hal is an asshole, and they make sure you know it immediately. Okay. Now, that's one people have heard of.
[00:44:59] Now, one people have not heard of that I'm going to tell you to go check out because it's interesting. There's a one-season show. Julie and the Phantoms, and I don't know how to describe this other than what if there was a parody show of Gem and the Holograms made by the WB, but with, like, LGBT characters. And it has some... Every episode has amazing songs in it. There's a dance number, like... It is Gem and the Holograms. What the heck?
[00:45:26] But the thing is, it's also, instead of being 80s nostalgia, it's 90s nostalgia, which is really interesting. And here's the part that I find is crazy. It only had one season, but it's just like Bea La Fea. It's from a Latino show from Brazil that was also called Julieta and the Phantoms. So, like... Oh, my God. I'm like, no one heard of this. Netflix pulled the rug out of it before even promoting it. Right. We only found out about it by accident and then started watching it. And it's only in one season.
[00:45:52] I actually started adding some songs from that show to my playlist of thousands of songs because it's that good. It's just like... And again, no one talked about it. So, you know... I'm done. I'm done. What about you, Elia Maria? Oh, man. Okay. So, I haven't been as media-consuming lately because I've just been bogged down with work. But I did manage to get through every single episode of the show Hacks, which is currently on HBO.
[00:46:20] And it follows a later-in-life comedian who is just wanting to continue chasing success, wanting to keep touring, wanting to keep having shows. She's a headliner on the Las Vegas Strip. But, of course, all those things have to come to an end when you want precious talent. So, she hires a writer who is Gen Z and really, really, like, depressed. And just hijinks ensue. Hijinks ensue? That's all you really need to say to get me into it. But hijinks ensue.
[00:46:50] So, this is a very highly sought-after collectible. Apparently, these are becoming, like, the next thing that people are obsessed with. It's like a... I'm old. I think the new Tickle Me Omo. These are called Nidos. Nidos. And they are just different shape of different, like, animals. This is like a dog. I don't know if you can tell with the light. It's a puppy. I thought it was a pig, actually. Okay. Me too. It's like a puppy. Okay.
[00:47:20] But people were, like, fighting themselves in the mornings trying to get to the shop to buy these and then resell them for five times what they're worth. I hate that. My wife said, here, you should talk about this new little puppy. I'm like, okay, cool. There it is. Woo! Thank you, wifey. I like it. Thank you. Thank you, wifey. Everybody says thank you. I was telling, since we're breaking the fourth wall, third wall.
[00:47:46] I was telling them, babe, that they need to go to Mexico and Elia needs to sell, Elia Maria needs to sell her tokens there and her book because people will go crazy for it. And she's like, yes, 100%. Yeah. Elia Maria, you would clean up in Mexico making tokens and licking microphones. That would be like... And then selling those later. Yeah. Either one, the microphone or the tokens. Yes.

Make it happen. As far as consuming, I have been reading a lot because I did go on a trip, but also have been watching a lot of anime. I've been watching Witch Hat Altier. Altier? Altier? Atelier. [00:48:43] I want to draw circles. I want to... I love the animation. I love the story. Point is, you can connect it with... I'm not giving anything away, but what I'm saying is it lets you feel as though... You don't feel left out of something special just because you weren't born into it or just because you don't automatically fall into it. You're not born with a talent, what have you. Anybody can do this as long as you're willing to put in the work. Oh, yeah. Even with magic.
[00:49:12] You know what I mean? Even with magic. It's not like Harry Potter where you're a wizard and you're like, okay, cool, whatever. This one in scenario is magic exists in this world, but people were using it to break the world. It's kind of like a connection with technology and things we were talking about earlier, but people were breaking it. They were hurting each other. It was leading to war. It was leading to destruction as opposed to helping each other.
[00:49:36] And so the witches in the world basically cast a spell to erase humanity's memory of how to do magic. But everybody can do magic. And they basically play up the idea of, hey, it's a secret society. And if you take the oath and we are chosen, you can be a witch or whatnot. And we learn through this girl and circumstances not to give anything away. It's really worth watching. But the story is really fun. It really gives you hope.
[00:50:05] I love the idea of like I'm a sucker for things like what do you call those shows? Not shounens. But yeah, you show where you kind of scale and you grow. Oh, yeah. Shonen. Shonen, right? Shonen. But also like I love like Naruto when they're kids and they grow up to become these powerful ninjas or like, you know, the One Piece guy. They start off and the time jump happens. Boom. Everybody levels up. And this happens in a sense, especially with the team, right?
[00:50:32] In a group and having your friends with you and being able to work through it and making friends in odd places. And the animation is gorgeous. The music's great. And the dub is even really, really well done. So I'd recommend that if you haven't really fell into it yet. It got a lot of buzz, maybe a few like eight months ago, give or take. But it's the season's done with. But I think right now is a good time to catch up if you haven't. It's really, really well done. What's the name again? Which hat?

But but in getting obsessed with it, it's destroying all of society. And the solution was make people forget that it ever existed. So what we need to do is find a way to do that with AI.
