Primos Los Monstruos took its time warming me up, but with Issue #2, I’m officially in. It’s a solid step up from the first issue, which had the vibes but didn’t fully lock me in. This one? It delivered.

We’re back with Perry Cutter, our Wolfman P.I. Grizzled, stubborn, and somehow still charming under all that fur. He’s investigating the disappearance of a vampiress named Yvonne Veil, and the deeper he digs, the messier things get. Between ancient ganglords like Ramses Ra (yes, a legit terrifying mummy) and shady vampire crews, Twilight City’s underworld is looking more dangerous by the panel.

What sold me here is the tone it’s classic noir with a supernatural twist that finally finds its rhythm. The art is grimy and very 80's 70's vibe which fits well with the old Hollywood vibe. The dialogue snappy, and the characters? Way more alive (or undead) this time around. I’m especially loving Clyde, Perry’s monster muscle of a best friend, and Rosie, the hot vampire waitress who I hope gets more screen time, she’s a vibe.
The mystery’s deepening and I’m all about it. The story keeps you in that fog-of-war zone, teasing out answers slowly. And that’s the hook—it doesn’t give it all away, but this time, it gives you enough.
Final Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars)
It took two issues to really draw me in, but this one sealed the deal. A gritty monster mystery with personality, scares, and style. If the next issues keep up this pace? We might be talking 5 stars. Keep your eyes on Los Monstruos, primos this beast might have some bite left.
